Jesse Goes Places enters a new year, 2017

I started Jesse Goes Places firstly as a place to share my stories and pictures of my travel. It’s a public journal that I can look back on and keep memories. I have taken great pride in the development of this website, as it is completely my brain child. I have written every article taken every photo. Learned about web design and WordPress. I’ve seen its numbers grow and decline. I feel completely privileged to have been able to make the site and share my stories with everyone, as well as partaking in many great adventures. I hope I have inspired some of you to go out and explore, our great big giant planet.

This past October I was on the Camino de Santiago, something many people have asked me too write about. I have nothing  posted on the site yet but will try and get something special up for it as it was a very special trip. The Camino was extremely personal and gave me lots of time to reflect on 2016. I walked into an unknown in 2016, never really knowing where my travels would take me next. I followed a dream of traveling for as long as I anted too. This lead me straight to my path in 2017.

This year I have enrolled in school. I will now be working towards an education degree. Some will see this as me giving up on travel as I will not be able to travel as much in 2017. But this is the furthest from the truth. I will continue to explore and try to travel as much as I can. With a new spin of finding a work, study, travel life balance. In 2016 I set out and traveled, made friends all over the globe. This was a dream come true. Now is time to persue another dream.

I’m truly blessed, and thankful for everyone’s support! The future of Jesse Goes Places will continue but on a smaller scale. I hope you continue to enjoy the posts and pictures that I share.

My name is Jesse Boily. And there is a million things I haven’t done, but just you wait.

Thank you, Jesse.
